In my research paper about storytelling, I examined six popular films and books like The Intouchable, Encanto, and some more. The majority of them follow a similar structure for their main protagonist, their characters aren’t perfectly fit to the world’s expectations. Stories are better when characters have flaws and challenges (even though they might still not meet the world’s expectations at the end) because this makes them more relatable. For my project, I'm making a 3D environment with a lighting focus project on a car with a spirit(monster) on a city road. The car wants to follow its own heart, represented by a guiding monster that comes behind the exhaust pipe and hovering on top of the sky. Speaking of the story, it's about a car that tries to be itself in a world where everyone wants to go the “right way”, represented by every other car going in the same direction. The car faces pressure to fit in, but it decides to find its way instead. Along the journey, the car learns that being true to itself is more important than pleasing others. In the end, it breaks free from society's expectations and feels happy knowing it can make its own choices. This narrative arc not only challenges the myth of perfection but also celebrates the strength found in embracing one's true self against the noise of conformity.
